“OKLEX” SOLUTION RECEIVES

2008 IACP EXCELLENCE IN TECHNOLOGY AWARD

Tallahassee, FL – (January, 2009) – Announced at the 2008 Annual IACP Conference in San Diego, California, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations’ “OKLeX” solution, powered by the Datamaxx Enterprise Intelligence Suite, received the Innovative in Information Technology Award for a Medium sized agency. The 5th Annual IACP Excellence in Technology Award Program recognizes law enforcement agencies’ superior achievement and innovation in the field of communication and information technology. This international competition was open to local, tribal, state, provincial, federal, and multi-jurisdictional law enforcement agencies.

Datamaxx was awarded the contract to provide the OKLeX (“Oklahoma Law Enforcement Exchange”) solution in early 2008 and began design and implementation of the Datamaxx Enterprise Intelligence Suite to meet the specific needs and visions of Oklahoma.

The OKLeX solution houses and provides access to a criminal justice information index that supports local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. The OKLeX Portal, powered by the Datamaxx Enterprise Portal, hosts state-agency data and provides law enforcement with one central system to query and locate information on Persons, Vehicles, or Items in a much more efficient manner. More generalized information is also available to law enforcement agencies via the OKLeX Portal through the publication of law enforcement sensitive documents including officer safety bulletins that are very useful to the officer on the street.
