Datamaxx to Offer, First of It's Kind, Omnixx Fusion Core Secure Cloud Solution

Tallahassee, FL – (November 15, 2011) Datamaxx Group today announced a new joint alliance with Microsoft and Esri to develop the first ever cloud-based Fusion Core Solution.  Omnixx Fusion Core Secure Cloud Solution will be available in December.

Omnixx Fusion Core Secure Cloud Solution builds on the success of Fusion Core Solution (FCS), an 18+ month old advanced collaboration and geospatial intelligence solution based on Esri’s ArcGIS Server Advanced Enterprise and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server. It extends the functionality by offering mission critical data access and analysis powered by Datamaxx’s Omnixx Solution, plus offers it in a cloud via the FBI and Nlets audited Datamaxx Network Operations Center (NOC).

For law enforcement agencies, moving to a cloud-based environment eliminates most upfront capital expenditures, is more easily deployed than on-premise solutions, and enables scale on demand. This cloud solution enables agencies to rapidly realize the benefits of Omnixx and the Fusion Core solution regardless of the size of the agency’s IT organization.

“Law enforcement agencies aren’t immune from budget pressures, nor are smaller localities immune to crime, so the ability to leverage this solution cost effectively is a significant benefit,” said Greg Rohm, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, Datamaxx. “But that only works if they trust the environment for security and performance. That’s the value of Omnixx Fusion Core Secure Cloud Solution.”

Omnixx Fusion Core Secure Cloud Solution enables homeland security and law enforcement personnel to manage intake, search, analysis, and work flow within their own and multiple agencies, enabling them to access critical data and visualize patterns and trends to help prevent future acts of terrorism and crime, and facilitate a faster and more informed response when necessary.

“Law enforcement today, whether it is fighting crime or terrorists, demands improved capability to find the right information in mountain sized haystacks,” said Joe Rozek, Executive Director for Homeland Security, Microsoft Corporation. “As a community, we simply have to be better at sharing information between agencies, across regions and in time to make a difference. We are committed to helping make that possible.”

This solution combines some of the best technology capabilities of all three companies in mission critical data sharing and analysis, geospatial and collaborative solutions helping, state and local data fusion centers, real-time crime centers, information sharing consortiums and emergency operations centers to quickly gain access to data and capabilities to assist in accomplishing their mission to protect and serve. “This alliance leverages the very distinct strengths of the individual partners. For us, that means bringing more innovation to market with well-integrated, best of breed technologies,“ said Russ Johnson, Director, Public Safety Industry Solutions, Esri. “For our customers it means that they get better overall value, and to focus more on their core mission.”

Omnixx Fusion Core Secure Cloud Solution offers critical data and functionality in a cost-effective user model featuring:

  • Managed Intake
  • Enterprise Search
  • Robust Geodatabases
  • Integrated Analytics
  • Analyst Collaboration
  • Robust Security (CJIS Security Policy Compliant)Tools for Managing Operations

“The IJIS Institute is very pleased to see three of its forward-looking member companies, two of which are Sustaining Members (Microsoft and Esri), collaborate to bring these kinds of tools to support the critical national initiatives related to crimes, including terrorism, that the fusion centers are committed to preventing,” said Glenn Archer, Executive Director of the IJIS Institute. “Fostering innovation and collaboration that produces such useful solutions is exactly why we have built the partnership between government and industry to address these mission critical functions.”
